National Park City Week: Explore the Wild West End Garden
In celebration of the first National Park City Week (21st-29th July 2018), Wild West End have teamed up with partners and local organisations to host a series of events across the capital.
On Tuesday 24th July, Wild West End garden - a new relaxing public space for people to enjoy until December 31st 2019 - hosted an event as part of National Park City Week. Individuals had the opportunity to meet those involved in the creation of the garden and to learn more about the importance of green space in providing habitat value, bettering air quality and improving well-being for local communities.
The garden was designed by award-winning designer Kate Gould and won Gold at the 2018 RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The garden is sponsored by New West End Company and The Portman Estate in collaboration with Wild West End, Marble Arch BID, Baker Street Quarter Partnership and FM Conway.
The event was free for all to attend and included a delicious hot drink and banana bread from Daisy Green's cafe.
